Bollinger Canyon is having an online registration this year!  It is a simple process and will save you the time of coming to the school.  The system is a secure website and used by other schools in our District.  The online system accepts Credit cards, but will also allow you to walk in a check or cash to the school and still use the online system.  Please click on this link to get started:  BCRegistration and the link will stay live for registration through Friday, August 12th.

Tuesday, August 9th from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM we will have a one day walk-in registration for those of you unable to complete the online process or who need assistance.  The late registration will be held in our MPR, we can accept checks or cash.  Credit cards are not accepted as we do not have credit card machines.  Credit card payments are accepted online only.  If you choose to write a check while taking advantage of the online registration, we will be accepting them during our late registration day on August 9th.  If you are out of town during that time you can bring them to the office. Please print out your receipt so that we can attach that information to your check or cash.

The Bollinger Canyon office will re-open on August 1st at 7:30 AM.

It's Summer!

"Common Sense Education is dedicated to helping kids thrive in a world of media and technology.  We empower parents, teachers, and policymakers by providing unbiased information, trusted advice, and innovative tools to help them harness the power of media and technology as a positive force in all kids’ lives.

Media and technology are at the very center of all our lives today -- especially our children’s.  Kids today spend over 50 hours of screen time every week. The media content they consume and create has a profound impact on their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.  Learning how to use media and technology wisely is an essential skill for life and learning in the 21st century. But parents, teachers, and policymakers struggle to keep up with the rapidly changing digital world in which our children live and learn.  Now more than ever, they need a trusted guide to help them navigate a world where change is the only constant."

Here is a link to Common Sense Media’s website their goal is to "help families make smart media choices. We offer the largest, most trusted library of independent age-based and educational ratings and reviews for movies, games, apps, TV shows, websites, books, and music.  Our Parent Concerns and Parent Blog help families understand and navigate the problems and possibilities of raising children in the digital age.”  Form more information, please click on the link below.

Forgotten Lunches!

LUNCHES - Ideally it is best to send your student's lunch with them in the morning.  However, we understand that some lunches are forgotten.  The new procedure is for you to take your student's lunch into the MPR and drop it off on the table located between the milk cooler and the lunch card cart.  The table has a tablecloth on it with Green Apples.  Please deposit your student's lunch on that table.  Please communicate to your student that if they forget their lunch, to check the lunch table in the MPR. Please make sure your student's name is on the lunch box or bag!
