As you are aware, we have implemented a new system of volunteer clearance to better ensure the safety of all students and to comply with our new board policy. At this time, our Volunteer Management System is backlogged with our Level 2 driver volunteer clearance. Level 2 clearance requires a Department of Motor Vehicles report verifying a clean driving history for the past 10 years.
Recently, we have heard from many parents that they are having difficulty uploading the required documents for Level 2 clearance (copy of current driver’s license and car insurance declaration page). If you are having trouble uploading the documents, we are now offering the option of submitting the two documents in hard copy form to the school site. The site will then upload your documents to the Volunteer Management System which will be submitted to DMV.
If you have not started the volunteer clearance process, you may do so by going to the parent section of the district website or your local school website to apply. After this initial step, you now have the option of uploading the required documents yourself, or simply bringing them to your school site.
Rest assured, should there be any delay with the DMV clearance, participation in field trips will not be affected once the school receives the required documents.
Our students’ safety is our number one priority and we sincerely hope that this option will make this process easier for parents who are having difficulty uploading their documents.
If you have any further questions, please contact your school site.
