LEAVING SCHOOL DURING THE DAY

All students are required to check out through the office whenever they leave school other than at dismissal time. Parents taking a student out of school during the school day must sign the child out in the office. Students leaving on their own must have a signed note from a parent which gives the time and reason for early dismissal. Students must be signed back in if they return before dismissal. When making dental or other medical appointments for your child, please try to make the appointments after school so that your child misses a minimum of instruction time. Remember, class discussion can never be made up. Students will not be released to any persons other than their parents unless they are on the emergency card or have written authorization from the parent. This includes older siblings. Please do not call the office when you are on your way to pick up your child. The office will call the classroom for your child when you arrive.

Children need to be made aware of their after school arrangements prior to coming to school in the morning. The Office will not allow children to call home to make after school plans. If your child will be leaving school early, please write a note to your child’s teacher with this information.l
